Mr. Nagar is a co-founder of Malabar Investments LLC and founder and Managing Director of Malabar Investment Advisors Private Limited. Mr. Nagar has over a decade of experience in portfolio management and investment analysis as well as tremendous experience in operating roles. Prior to joining Holding Capital group and starting Malabar, Mr. Nagar was a consultant at McKinsey & Company where he was a founding member of its dedicated private equity group. Mr. Nagar is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and earned an MBA degree in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Mansukhani is a Managing Partner at Malabar Investments LLC with a dual focus on investment analysis and risk management. Prior to joining Malabar in 2009, Mr. Mansukhani was part of UBS and focused on structured products as part of equity capital markets. During that time, Mr. Mansukhani helped raise more than $5 billion of equity and equity linked capital for businesses and was involved in a few of UBS’ proprietary investments. Mr. Mansukhani received his BSE and MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was selected as a Joseph Wharton Scholar. Mr. Mansukhani is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (“CAIA”).
Mr. Gulati is a Partner at Malabar Investments LLC and has been with the firm since inception. He has played a vital role in creating investment processes and setting up the research team. Prior to Malabar, Mr. Gulati was responsible for analyzing investment opportunities at SBI Capital Markets. At SBI, he was part of the proprietary investment group that oversaw an equity and debt portfolio of approximately $100 million. Mr. Gulati graduated from Mumbai University with a degree in engineering and earned an MBA degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
Mr. Mahajan joined Malabar in mid 2016 and has over six years of professional experience in financial advisory, investment analysis and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to Malabar, he was with Synergy Advisory where he worked on financial advisory transactions in infrastructure sector across South East Asia, Middle East and Africa. Prior to Synergy, Mr. Mahajan worked with Siva Ventures for two years where he was responsible for conducting due diligence on potential investment opportunities and was involved in three closed transactions. Mr. Mahajan graduated from NIT, Durgapur with a degree in Engineering and earned his MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
Ms. Shah joined Malabar in 2013. With nearly a decade of experience, Ms. Shah has worked as a Research Analyst at Envision Capital tracking different sectors including Consumer, IT, Media and Education. Prior to that, she worked at Edelweiss Securities and was responsible for generating as well as tracking small and mid cap ideas. Ms. Shah graduated from Mumbai University with B.Sc in Computer Science and earned an MBA in Finance from Indian Education Society in Mumbai.
Mr. Mukherjee has been with Malabar since mid-2017 and has had over four years of experience in the financial services industry prior to joining Malabar. Before Malabar, he was an Associate at Kalaari Capital, a $650M early stage VC fund. At Kalaari, he was responsible for deal evaluation and portfolio management with exposure ranging across sectors. He has also worked with Capital One, where he was involved in risk management for the auto finance portfolio. He completed his undergraduate studies from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and attended Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad for his postgraduate education.
Mr. Rai joined Malabar in mid 2015 and focuses on Investor Relations and Business Development. Prior to Malabar, he was with the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (‘HSBC’) for over seven years. At HSBC, Mr. Rai worked in multiple roles including strategy & planning, investment advisory and relationship management. Mr. Rai graduated from Mumbai University with a degree in Engineering and earned his MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
Mr. Phondke joined Malabar in 2014 and focuses on investor communication. He has over 15 years of work experience. Prior to joining Malabar, he was Manager of Human Resources at Baldota Institute, which is a part of Global Hospitals. His previous work experience also includes the Asian Heart Institute (Mumbai), Syntel Global and Lilavati Hospital. He graduated in Commerce from Mumbai University and earned his Diploma in HR from Welingkar Institute.
Ms. DeSouza has been with Malabar since inception in the role of an Office Administrator. She has over 25 years of work experience across different geographies and industries. Prior to joining Malabar, she was with India Today Magazine (India), Birla Group of Companies (India), King Fahad National Guard Hospital (Riyadh), SwissBoring (Oman) and Prologix Logistics (Canada).

Dr. Au is the CEO of Value Partners Group, responsible for the Group’s business and corporate affairs. He has also held senior management positions at other financial institutions such as Eastspring Investments (Hong Kong) Ltd and HSBC Global Asset Management (Hong Kong) Ltd. Dr. Au also sits on Advisory Committees at the Securities and Futures Commission, and Financial Services Development Council (“FSDC”), Hong Kong. Dr. Au holds a CFA, a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Oxford and a PhD in Theoretical Particle Physics from Durham University.
Mr. Leischner has been a principal of Holding Capital Group (HCG) since 1983. He is currently the CFO of various HCG related entities and oversees HCG’s finance, accounting, administration and recruiting. He is an officer and board member of several of HCG’s portfolio companies and is active in managing HCG’s investments. From 1980 through 1983, he was a senior accountant at a national accounting firm. Mr. Leischner received his BS (cum laude) in Accounting and Business Administration from Wagner College and achieved his CPA certification in 1982.
Mr. Nanwani is a lawyer and former investment banker. Ravi has been Chief Executive Officer of Greenway North in New York for the past three years. In this role, he works with global companies to provide strategies to improve all aspects of business, from customer service to day-to-day operations. Ravi previously worked as an analyst for Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York. He earned a law degree from Columbia Law School, and his Finance degree from New York University's Stern School of Business.
Mr. Oppenheimer is Managing Partner of Oppenheimer + Close, a registered investment advisory firm. Before joining Oppenheimer + Close, Mr. Oppenheimer was a Principal at Milestone Venture Partners. Prior to Milestone, Mr. Oppenheimer was a Manager in the Business Development group of Sears, Roebuck and Company and focused on strategic M&A transactions. In April 2010 Mr. Oppenheimer was elected to the FINRA District 10 Committee. Mr. Oppenheimer received a B.A. from St. Lawrence University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Mr. Broser has been President of RDA Ventures, LLC since 1993. Mr. Broser has helped RDA invest in over 30 companies in a variety of industries. Over the past few years, Mr. Broser has also helped RDA provide strategic capital to select hedge funds. Mr. Broser received his JD from Boston University and BBA from University of Michigan.
Mr. Donaghy joined Holding Capital Group (HCG) in 1978. In addition to being an owner and an officer of Holding Capital Group companies, he serves as President of HCG’s primary investment entities and President of Holding Capital Asset Management, LLC. Prior to joining HCG, Mr. Donaghy also served in the tax and audit departments of Arthur Andersen & Co. from 1974 to 1976. Mr. Donaghy holds an MBA, is a CPA, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1968 to 1972.

HCAM is an affiliate of Holding Capital Group (“HCG”). Founded in 1975, HCG is a private equity investment and international money management firm. The money management group has a focus that is twofold: to create attractive investment results in existing funds; and through HCAM, to seed and propagate sound money managers across the globe. HCAM or its affiliates is the manager or GP of several operating funds.
Founded in 1984, Oppenheimer + Close, Inc. is a registered investment advisory firm based in New York City and manages assets for individuals, pension funds, family charitable trusts and foundations. Oppenheimer + Close, through its affiliates, is also the general partner and advisor for three domestic partnerships and an offshore investment company, each of which have provided superior risk adjusted results. Principals at Oppenheimer + Close are long-term, value investors and conduct all of their investment research internally.
